What you need

Where things are

The freshwater inlet is on the driver side at the rear, near the SmartPlug (shore power) port.

To fill

  1. Grab the hose from the storage box.
  2. Run the spigot for a few seconds to clear out any stale water, then turn it off.
  3. Attach the water filter to the spigot end of the hose. If the filter has a flow arrow, it points toward the van.
  4. Connect the filter end of the hose to the spigot.
  5. Attach the control valve to the van end of the hose.
  6. Unlock the freshwater fill port with the small round key.
  7. Connect the control valve end to the van's freshwater inlet.
  8. Turn the spigot on and fill the tank. You can use the control valve to adjust the flow. Watch the tank level on the Garmin control panel, or listen for water reaching the top of the fill.
  9. When the tank is full, close the control valve, then turn the spigot off.
  10. Disconnect the hose from the van first, then from the spigot.
  11. Close the fill port and lock it again with the key.
  12. Drain the hose by lifting one end and letting the water run out, then coil it up.
  13. Remove the filter, shake out the extra water, and store it with the hose.
  14. Stow the hose back in the storage box.
